As one of the oldest assemblies in the denomination and Lamar County, Fredonia Congregational Methodist Church is going the way of many rural churches. Its membership is dwindling. Pastors Stan Ayer and Chip Garrison are willing to do just about anything to get that membership back up. They have set a goal of 100 people to attend Friends Day on Sunday, March 28 and, if they meet that goal, they will kiss a goat.
