B March 7, 1939. D August 17, 2023
Survived by Sisters; Beverly Grant (Ken-D), Nancy Christmas (Rick), Judy Hamilton (Roy). Nieces; Natalie Nicholson (Rick), Valerie Perkins (Brett), and nephews Charles Cato (Dana), Champ Hammett (Marisa). Marcie Mouyard, longtime friend and partner.
Pat graduated from Biloxi HS in 1957 and was promptly whisked off to Perkinston Jr. College where she excelled in the social life of the campus community.
In 1959 she joined Eastern Airlines and became the consummate stewardess, embracing the high-flying, fun-loving lifestyle. Pat flew everywhere; North and South America, Asia, Europe and North Africa. She flew soldiers to and from Vietnam, she flew the Hodge and countless other memorable journeys. She not only flew to the famous cities of the world, but she lived in many; New Orleans, San Francisco, New York, Miami, Las Vegas, Bangkok, Buenos Aires, Rome and of course hometown Atlanta. But she began and finished the journey in her favorite Ocean Springs.
She was a friend to many and never met a stranger, always ready to lend a helping hand and/or set you straight if your viewpoint was contrary to hers. She loved her sisters, nieces, nephews and many great nieces and nephews upon whom she was always bragging.
She was a defender and crusader for women, Gay rights and the less fortunate. She not only voiced her support but was an active protester in many marches from New York to San Francisco. She lived her life the way she wanted to live and loved who she wanted to love with no apologies.
A great storyteller, oh the tales she could tell and of course she was the life of the party, what a huge personality. She always had something cooking and it was never on the cheap, always the expensive. Her chicken and dumplings were always a favorite.
She was not only an Elvis fan, but one of his inner group during the early years when he spent a great deal of time on the coast. She traveled with him not only on tour but to his home where she became a friend of the family.
She will be missed.
