Pauline DuBignon Fletcher

Mrs. Pauline DuBignon Fletcher was born July 8, 1930 to the late Ms. Rachael DuBignon and the late Mr. George Moreland in Barnesville, Georgia. On Sunday, March 22, 2015, she departed her earthly home and entered into eternal rest with the Lord. Accepting Christ at an early age, she joined West Mount Sinai Baptist Church. She was educated in the Lamar County school system and graduated from Barnesville Industrial High School. In 1995 she retired from Lamar County after working at the courthouse for many years. She raised many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and helping others. She was married to Walter James Fletcher, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were daughter, Emma Jean Williams; granddaughter, Philanda Harvey Woodard; and sister, Emma Clay. Survivors include four sons, Johnny (Mary) Prigeon of Griffin, Oscar “Jerry” Prigeon of Atlanta, Leon Fletcher and James “Al” (Tina) Fletcher of Barnesville; eight grandchildren, Shunda (Haisey) Clemons of Griffin, Kendrick Hightower of Atlanta, Kelsey Prigeon of Florida, Jenesia Williams of Barnesville, Teresia Williams of Thomaston, Bactisa Fletcher, Jaimee Fletcher, Jamarion Fletcher, and Kristopher Fletcher all of Barnesville; numerous great-grandchildren; friends, Betty Wilson of Milner, Mary Ogletree, Georgia Fletcher and Johnny Mae Vaughn, all of Barnesville, and Estelle Leaks of Griffin; a host of other relatives, friends and church family. Services were held Friday, March 27, 2015 at West Mount Sinai Baptist Church, Barnesville. Rev. Waylon Knight presided. Interment was in the church cemetery. Bentley and Sons Funeral Home, Barnesville, had charge of arrangements.
