Pauline R. Hughes, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013.A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Corbitt officiating. The family will meet friends on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexander, Va., 22311.Mrs. Hughes was born in Barnesville, Ga., to the late Paul Thomas and Maurine Leach Ross. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Preston Hughes Sr.; a sister, Mary Laura Waller; and a brother, James P. Ross. Mrs. Hughes was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church and the Bloomfield Recreation Club. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.She is survived by her children, Lynn (Gary) Lawson of Crowley, Texas, James P. Hughes Jr. of Bolingbroke, Frank (Pat) M.
