Plan to do some organizing and cleaning out your unwanted clutter? Pack it up and become a vendor at Georgia’s longest yard sale in March. The Peaches to the Beaches Yard Sale will take place March 11-12 along Highway 341, the Golden Isles Parkway, beginning in Barnesville at the Ace Hardware-Roses parking lot on 341 at College Drive. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. The 240-mile yard sale will link peach-growing counties in middle Georgia to the beaches of the Golden Isles, with stops in nearly 19 communities along the way. The event will feature vendors selling everything from antiques and locally crafted items to traditional yard sale fare. They will be identified by official vendor signs. Shoppers are encouraged to shop only official vendors that display the official vendor signs and at official group sites. These vendors support this event and make it possible for the Golden Isles Parkway Association to continue promoting and organizing the growing event each year. Some communities will have varying hours so shoppers who plan to travel the entire route are encouraged to visit the event’s official website, peachestothebeaches.com, for detailed information. Vendor appliations are $30 at the Chamber office at 100 Commerce Place.
