A male pedestrian was lifeflighted to a trauma center Monday afternoon after being hit by a dually pickup on Veterans Parkway near the NAPA store. Initial reports were the man was walking in the road when struck. The victim was communicative at the scene.
At least one driver reported having to avoid the man in the roadway just before the accident.
Troopers from the Georgia State Patrol have taken over the investigation.
