Penny Gail Willis, 75 of Barnesville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
Penny was born on October 22, 1950, in McCaysville, Georgia to the late Grover “Red” Jones and Elaine Marie Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Willis, and her two sisters, Chris Borders and Sue Bowden.
Penny owned and operated Holder Tailoring Company in Griffin, Georgia for over 25 years before retiring. She always met her customers with a smile and loved visiting with them. She lived a life rooted in love, warmth, and simple joys. Above all else, she was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished every moment spent surrounded by her family. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and endless support for those she held dear.
Penny loved the North Georgia Mountains and the beach. She found immense peace taking trips to the mountains, where she loved to breathe in the fresh air and take in the beautiful views and wildlife. She could most often be found working lovingly with her flowers, coaxing vibrant life from the soil and creating a beautiful backdrop in her yard for everyone to enjoy. Her nurturing spirit was evident in both the beautiful blossoms she grew and the family she so tenderly raised.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Nikol Nalley and her husband Dane and Kami Mayes; grandchildren, Alandra Smith, Jese Manandhar, Austin Smith, Chase Burnette, Sloan Burnette and Cooper Nalley; great-grandchildren, Alex Owings, Levi Shiver, Damian Manandhar and Alara Manandhar. Penny is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, located at 1891 W. McIntosh Road, is in charge of the arrangements.
