They may not be republished or disseminated in any form or format – including social media – without explicit permission. ********************* Ashley Nickles Ebbert, 47, of 973 Hardin Rd., Zebulon faces one count of elder abuse after an alleged attack on Thomas Lewis Delano at a home at 939 Old Hwy. 41 in Milner on Dec. 8. According to a report by Lamar investigator Chad Payne, deputies were contacted by authorities in Spalding County after Delano was taken to the Spalding Regional Medical Center emergency room. Payne reported the victim was Ebbert’s mother’s boyfriend and alcohol played a role in the incident which occurred at the mother’s home. ‘He beat him up bad enough that Mr. Delano had to have facial reconstruction surgery,’ Payne said. The charge against Ebbert will go before a grand jury in the coming months.
