Police Report

Between Saturday, Sept. 8 and Friday, Sept. 14, the Barnesville police department made six arrests: David Maroney, 32, 805 Greenwood St., Barnesville, speeding and driving while license suspended; Terry Murphey, 44, 114 Carey J. Buckner, Barnesville, aggravated assault, false imprisonment and simple battery; Charles Robinson, 52, 119 Kathy Lane, Griffin, driving while license suspended and DUI; Alexander Williams, 24, 110 Summit Dr., Griffin, possession of amphetamine, marijuana and hallucinogen with intent to sell, deliver or distribute; Tennyson Curtis, 53, 1313 Curtis Lane, Zebulon, possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, open container and weaving over the roadway; Jatonya Lewis, 21, 2806 Topaz Rd., Riverdale, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Officers answered 82 calls for service including four animal complaints, three loud music, one welfare check, four domestics, 25 foot patrols, three suspicious persons/vehicles, one speeding, eight accidents, five escorts, seven alarms, three drug traffic and one damage to property. They issued 25 citations including two possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, two driving while license suspended or revoked, one expired driver’s license, one suspended tag, nine speeding, one open container, one DUI drugs less safe, one improper passing, one driving the wrong way, one failure to maintain lane, one following too closely, one failure to yield, one disorderly conduct, and two resisting or interfering with arrest.
