Police Report

Between Saturday, Jan. 19, and Friday, Jan. 25, the Barnesville police report made nine arrests: Terrence Curtis, 33, 500 Atlanta St., Barnesville, driving while unlicensed; Joshua Smith, 25, 160 Church St., Barnesville, expired tags and driving while license suspended; Robert Gentry, 23, 200 Southland Dr., Apt. F6, Barnesville, simple battery; Barry Cook, 52, 5606 New Hope Rd., Milner, DUI alcohol less safe; Deena Deaton, 22, 200 Southland Dr., Apt. F6, Barnesville, disorderly conduct; Joshua Webb, 23, 204 Mill St., Barnesville, probation violation; Carl Byne, 28, 106 Lafayette St., Barnesville, theft by shoplifting and resisting arrest; Kristopher Jackson, 22, 906 Forsyth-Yatesville Rd., Yatesville, probation violation; Demarcus Jenkins, 21, 112 First St., Barnesville, probation violation. Officers answered 77 calls for service including one fight, two shoplifting, two loud music, one criminal trespass, one threat, two burglaries, four domestics, one subject with firearm, 10 foot patrols, six suspicious persons/vehicles, one traffic light out, six speeding, six accidents, four escorts, two alarms, one damage to property, one harassing phone calls and one school crossing duty. They issued 23 citations including one expired tag, one driving while license suspended or revoked, one driving while unlicensed, 10 speeding, one DUI alcohol less safe, one failure to stop at stop or yield sign, three safety belt violations, one shoplifting, one simple battery, one disorderly conduct, one resisting arrest and one criminal trespass.
