Police Report

Between Friday, July 3, and Friday, July 10, the Barnesville police department made eight arrests: Christopher Akers, 197 Shawnee Trail, Marietta, forgery; Darrien Bowles, 200 Southland Dr., Barnesville, possession of marijuana and Lamar County warrant; Armond Graves, 272 Mill St., Barnesville, criminal trespass; Wilbert Goggin, 809 Piedmont Woods, Barnesville, probation violation; Curtis Passmore, 407 Woodall St., Barnesville, possession of marijuana; Andrew Roberson, 745 Greenwood St., Barnesville, simple battery; Patricia Turner, 403 Northwoods Dr., Barnesville, dangerous drugs not in original container; Martha Watkins, 21 Matbeth Rd., Barnesville, cruelty to children. Officers answered 113 calls for service including six accidents, 10 alarms, one assault, one EMS assist, 29 building security checks, one crowd control, two damage to property, six disturbances, three dog complaints, two domestics, 16 escorts, two fights, one fraud, two forgery, four harassment, one juvenile complaint, 11 miscellaneous, one noise complaint, three prowlers, five suspicious persons/vehicles, one terroristic threat, four thefts and one welfare check. They issued 25 citations including one criminal trespass, one disorderly conduct, one loud music, one open container, two possession of marijuana, 11 seat belt violations, seven speeding and one traffic light violation.
