Police Report

Between Sunday, Sept. 1, and Friday, Sept. 6, the Barnesville police department made two arrests: Miriam Ezpinoza, 28, 150 Bush St., Barnesville, driving without a license; Joseph Allen, 39, 614 Grove St., Barnesville, theft by shoplifting. Officers answered 51 calls for service including one animal complaint, one theft, two loud music, two domestics, three foot patrols, three suspicious persons/vehicles, one accident, one damage to property, four assists, one 911 hangup and 20 escorts. They issued 16 citations including one animal at large, one giving false information to officer, two driving without a license, two speeding, one running a red light, one striking a fixed object, one failure to stop at stop or yield sign, one operating unauthorized vehicle with blue lights, one shoplifting and five disorderly house. The Barnesville police department administrative office will now be open from 8 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Monday-Friday to provide better customer service. This excludes holidays.
