Police Report

Between Sunday, Dec. 15, and Thursday, Dec. 19, the Barnesville police department made four arrests:Michael Mitchell, 35, 120 Westchester Dr., Barnesville, shoplifting;Prentice Head, 32, 126 Westchester Dr., Barnesville, Fayette County warrant;Yumiekqua Pitts, 25, 19 Parrish St., Griffin, Spalding and Clayton County warrants.Officers answered 40 calls for service including one theft, three domestics, one foot patrol, 15 suspicious persons/vehicles, one accident, four escorts, one civil matter, one alarm and one damage to property. They issued 14 citations including one exceeding the number of dogs allowed, five speeding, one failure to stop for signal, one reckless driving, one driving on the wrong side of the street, one failure to maintain lane, one possession of alcohol by an underage person, one open container, one shoplifting and one in park after hours.
