Police Report

Between Friday, Dec. 27, and Saturday, Jan. 4, the Barnesville police department made three arrests:Vontae Collier, 22, 322 Sims St., Barnesville, simple assault;Gregory Twymon, 22, 106 Hannah St., Barnesville, theft by taking;Mara Zachary, 23, 317 Brook Ridge Ave., Atlanta, DUI alcohol.Officers answered 64 calls for service including three fights, one theft, three domestic, five suspicious persons/vehicles, 16 speeding, one intoxicated driver, two intoxicated pedestrians, 11 escorts, one alarm and one damage to property. They issued 33 citations including one exported tag, one driving while license suspended or revoked, one improper turn, 23 speeding, two DUI, one failure to maintain lane, one failure to stop or yield, one child safety seat violation, one resisting or interfering with arrest and one theft by taking.
