Between Saturday, July 18, and Friday, July 24 the Barnesville police department made 11 arrests:Marcus Allen, 514 Lucille St., Griffin, probation violation; Rashaad Banks, 107 Ashley Ct., Barnesville, driving with a suspended license, seat belt violation and no insurance;Charmion Brown, 3680 Ellenburg Dr., Buford, giving false name to law enforcement officer;James Campbell, 277 Shadow Moore Dr., Zebulon, DUI and failure to maintain lane;Kelis Collier, 945 Willow Wind Cir., Barnesville, Lamar County warrant (Gordon College);Wayne Jones, 210 McCollum Rd., Barnesville, burglary;Jessica Mayes, 1722 Carrington Dr., Griffin, theft by taking;Camilla Parker, 112 Sullivan St., Barnesville, aggravated assault;Justin Poole, 455 Henson Cir., Carrollton, shoplifting;Marcus Williams, 103 11th St., Barnesville, simple battery and criminal trespass;Sherifat Yusuf, 84 Ritch Lane, Powder Springs, shoplifting.Officers answered 92 calls for service including five accidents, seven alarms, two EMS assists, 17 building security checks, one burglary, one child abuse, two crowd control, three damage to property, two disturbances, four domestics, 19 escorts, one fight, one harassment, two juvenile complaints, one littering, 15 miscellaneous, one prowler, two shoplifting, nine suspicious persons/vehicles, two thefts, three welfare checks and two 911 hang-ups. They issued 24 citations including one criminal trespass, one driving while license suspended, one DUI, one failure to maintain lane, one giving false name to a law enforcement officer, one no insurance, one possession of alcohol under age, two shoplifting, one simple battery, six seat belt violations and eight speeding.
