Between Sunday, Jan. 26, and Sunday, Feb. 2, the Barnesville police department made two arrests:Bryant Lucas, 31, 2324 Lake Royale Dr., Riverdale, failure to stop or yield, possession of marijuana, driving while license suspended and giving false name to law enforcement officer;Carlos Cunningham, 33, 102 Lyons St., Barnesville, probation violation.Officers answered 142 calls for service including three fights, two animal complaints, one juvenile complaint, three thefts, one shoplifting, one loud music, three welfare checks, two domestics, 23 foot patrols, 12 suspicious persons/vehicles, one suicide attempt, eight speeding, one accident, 12 escorts, three alarms, two harassing phone calls and three wanted or stolen. They issued 35 citations including two animals running at large, one possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, one obscured tag, one no tag, one driving on suspended license, two driving with suspended tag, 10 speeding, one passing in no passing zone, eight failure to stop or yield, one headlight violation, one improper exhaust, three safety belt violations and one giving false name to officer.
