Between Sunday, Feb. 16, and Saturday, Feb. 22, the Barnesville police department made eight arrests: Tabbetha Baruch-Condado, 31, 878 Veterans Pkwy., Room 210, Barnesville, disorderly conduct; Wilbert West, 56, 878 Veterans Pkwy., Room 210, Barnesville, simple battery; Shavon Brown, 28, 130 12th St., Barnesville, simple assault; Robert Cox, 62, 150 Stafford Ave., Barnesville, Harris County, Texas, warrant; Joemetria McCalla, 18, 160 12th St., Barnesville, financial transaction card fraud party to a crime; Courtland Cleveland, 24, 34 Ave. A, Thomaston, conspiracy to commit a crime; Cedarian Calhoun, 19, 2081/2 Mallory St., Thomaston, conspiracy to commit a crime; Demonte Davis, 27, 229 Jeff Davis Rd., Thomaston, financial transaction card fraud party to a crime. Officers answered 154 calls for service including four fights, two animal complaints, 11 security checks, three burglaries, 12 domestics, one assist, 20 foot patrols, 10 suspicious persons/vehicles, four speeding, two accidents, 10 escorts, two civil matters, one damage to property, one improper parking, one unwanted person, one mental subject and three wanted or stolen. They issued 14 citations including one speeding, one DUI refusal, one failure to maintain lane, three failure to stop or yield, two headlight violations, two tag light violations, one failure to dim headlights, one simple assault, one simple battery and one disorderly conduct.
