Police Report

Between Sunday, Feb. 23, and Saturday, March 1, the Barnesville police department made six arrests: Gregory Twymon, 22, 106 Hannah St., Barnesville, Griffin warrant; Curtis Passmore, 23, 407 Woodall St., Barnesville, Lamar County warrant; Scotty Zellner, 18, 909 Willow Wind Cir., Barnesville, battery; Quantavius Simmons, 17, 376 Atlanta St., Barnesville, battery; Nicholas Mitchell, 30, 1328 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, possession of drug related object and check forgery; William High, 39, 202 Byrd Rd., Culloden, Monroe County warrant. Officers answered 160 calls for service including four fights, three animal complaints, one juvenile case, three security checks, three thefts, one child abuse, one welfare check, eight domestics, 28 foot patrols, 16 suspicious persons/vehicles, six speeding, eight accidents, one hit and run, 15 escorts, seven alarms, one harassing phone call, one improper parking and one wanted or stolen. They issued 15 citations including one public nuisance animal, one possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, one delinquent business tax, six speeding, one striking unattended vehicle, one failure to maintain lane, one failure to stop or yield, one failure to dim headlights and one tint violation.
