Between Saturday, March 8, and Saturday, March 15, the Barnesville police department made two arrests: Travis Ambers, 37, 903 Ward Dr., Barnesville, driving while license suspended and tag light violation; Robert McLanahan, 51, 117 Hwy. 41 N., L16, 105 Oaktree Cir., Barnesville, drugs not in original container. Officers answered 244 calls for service including one death, three animal complaints, one juvenile complaint, one security check, four thefts, three burglaries, two domestics, 30 foot patrols, 10 suspicious persons/vehicles, seven speeding, eight accidents, 21 escorts, one civil matter, four alarms, three damage to property, two harassing phone calls, one unwanted person and three wanted or stolen. They issued 28 citations including two driving with a suspended license, one driving with a suspended tag 14 speeding, three failure to stop, one failure to maintain lane, one failure to yield, one tag light violation, one child safety seat violation, one seat belt violation and one open container.
