Between Monday, April 28, and Sunday, May 4, the Barnesville police department made three arrests:Jonathan Tyrone Hawkins, 22, 355 Summit View, McDonough, armed robbery of a residence with a gun;Norris Zellner, 57, 505 Woodland Dr., Barnesville, resisting arrest and arrested for another agency;Jonathan Tarplee, 27, 316 Forsyth St., Barnesville, criminal trespass.Officers answered 231 calls for service including six fights, one animal complaint, one juvenile complaint, 32 security checks, six thefts, two loud music, four burglaries, 18 domestics, two armed robberies, one fraud, three riots, 40 foot patrols, 28 suspicious persons/vehicles, two speeding, three accidents, two intoxicated pedestrians, 16 escorts, three alarms, one fire, one damage to property, one 911 hangup, one unwanted person and two mental subjects.They issued 11 citations including one possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, one failure to move over for emergency vehicles, one speeding, one reckless driving, three failures to stop or yield, one tag light violation, one open container, one resisting arrest and one no through trucks.
