Between Monday, May 5, and Saturday, May 11, the Barnesville police department made two arrests: Melanie Moyer, 37, 133 Byrd St., Barnesville, violation of conditions of limited driving permit, DUI, striking fixed object and failure to maintain lane. Jonathan Tarplee, 27, 316 Forsyth St., Apt. 4, Barnesville, shoplifting. Officers answered 223 calls for service including two fights, two dead, four animal complaints, nine security checks, two thefts, one shoplifting, one prowler, three welfare checks, one burglary, 13 domestics, 66 foot patrols, 14 suspicious persons/vehicles, one suicide attempt, three speeding, six accidents, six directing traffic, 15 escorts, seven alarms, two damage to property, three improperly parked vehicles and four mental subjects.
