Between Monday, May 19 and Sunday, June 1, the Barnesville police department: answered 307 calls for service, including five fights, three animal complaints, one juvenile, 44 security checks, one theft, three vandalisms, one loud music, one prowler, one child abuse, two welfare checks, one child custody case, 13 domestic problems, 82 foot patrols, 27 suspicious persons or vehicles, five accidents, 16 escorts, eight alarms, three damage to property, two special details, one unwanted person and three mental subjects. Citations issued numbered 28, including two animals running at large, one expired tag, one driving while license suspended, one driving without a license, two violations for loud music from vehicles, one speeding, one running red light, two following too closely, 12 failure to stop at stop or yield sign, one improper exhaust, three seat belt violations and one open container.
