Between Tuesday, Aug. 4 and Sunday, Aug. 10, the Barnesville police department made one arrest:Vincent Taylor, 49, 2272 Collier Drive, Decatur, DUI-alcohol;Officers answered 204 calls for service including eight fights or disorders, three animal complaints, 25 security check, four thefts, five domestic problems, two jail details, 16 meet in person, 41 foot patrols, 11 suspicious persons/vehicles, 36 stopping person or vehicle, six speeding autos, three accidents, two ambulances needed, one intoxicated driver, three intoxicated pedestrians, eight convoys/escorts, 12 alarms, three mechanical breakdowns, three school crossings, five special details, one 911 hang up, three pickup prisoner/subjects, five special details, one 911 hang up call, one unwanted person, one mental subject, one wanted/stolen.They issued 24 citations including one expired tag, one violation of license restrictions, one failure to stop at railroad crossing, seven speeding, one failure to yield funeral procession, one no tail lights, one tag light required, one no brake lights or working turn signals, seven safety belt violation (18 and over) and one no thru trucks.
