Between Saturday, Aug. 15, and Friday, Aug. 21, the Barnesville police department made three arrests:Billy Hardaway, 207 Navajo Court, Barnesville, theft by shoplifting; Joseph Mitchell II, 143 Lake Terr., McDonough, possession of marijuana and illegal U-turn;Jerred Smith, 240 City Pond Rd., Barnesville, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.Officers answered 72 calls for service including six accidents, three alarms, one EMS assist, seven building security checks, two burglaries, one criminal trespass, five crowd control, one damage to property, five disturbances, two dog complaints, two domestics, 15 escorts, one fight, three miscellaneous, three noise complaints, two prowlers, two shoplifting, five suspicious persons/vehicles, three terroristic threats, one theft and two traffic control. They issued 35 citations including one disorderly conduct, two failure to stop at stop sign, one following too closely, one illegal U-turn, one no insurance, one no through trucks, 14 parking violations, one possession of marijuana, one resisting arrest, one shoplifting and 11 speeding.
