Between Monday, Sept. 1, and Monday, Sept. 8, the Barnesville police department made five arrests: Summer Tallman, 32, 170 S. River Dr., Jackson, burglary; Bobby Harper, 37, 170 S. River Dr., Jackson, theft by taking; Olin Bradshaw Jr., 28, 170 S. River Dr., Jackson, burglary; Michael Sharpe, 28, 150 Freeman Cir., Barnesville, shoplifting; Deontay Bussey, 19, 2372 Tilson Rd., Decatur, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. Officers answered 147 calls, including two fights, one rape, eight security checks, one theft, one welfare check, one threats, one burglary, five domestics, one fraud, 27 foot patrols, 11 suspicious persons/vehicles, one suicide attempt, three speeding, six accidents, two ambulance calls, nine escorts, one civil matter, 16 alarms, one improper parking and one unwanted person. They issued 19 citations including one possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, one expired tag, five speeding, one impeding traffic, two driving the wrong way on a one way street, one failure to yield, two failure to stop or yield, one light violation, one headlight violation, one child safety seat violation, two shoplifting and one no through trucks.
