Between Monday, Sept. 22, and Sunday, Sept. 28, the Barnesville police department made two arrests: Iris O’Neal, 50, 9A Jenkins St., Barnesville, disorderly conduct; Kathy McDaniel, 51, 699 Forsyth St., Barnesville, financial transaction card fraud and theft by taking. Officers answered 143 calls for service including two fights, one juvenile complaint, 17 security checks, two thefts, one welfare check, one burglary, eight domestics, 34 foot patrols, 12 suspicious persons/vehicles, one motorist assist, six speeding, five accidents, 10 escorts, four alarms, three damage to property, one harassing phone calls, one 911 hangup and one mental subject. They issued 21 citations including two unrestrained animals, one animal running at large, one permitting unlawful operation of vehicle, one expired tag, one no insurance, one driving with suspended tag, eight speeding, one failure to obey traffic device, one failure to maintain lane, one following too closely, one brake or signal light violation, one obstructed windshield, and one disorderly conduct.
