Between Monday, Dec. 15, and Sunday, Dec. 21, the Barnesville police department made two arrests: Quantavius Simmons, 18, 376 Atlanta St., Barnesville, armed robbery and three counts aggravated assault; Jimmie Caslin, 64, 185 Old Alabama Rd., Milner, leaving the scene of an accident with injury or damage and DUI alcohol. Officers answered 155 calls including one animal complaint, eight security checks, one theft, one loud music, one welfare check, one burglary, one lost or mislaid property, six domestics, one armed robbery, one 911 hangup, one vehicle registration violation, 24 foot patrols, six suspicious persons or vehicles, three speeding, one accident, one ambulance call, one livestock or carcass in road, one intoxicated pedestrian, two hit and run, five escorts, five alarms, one mechanical breakdown, one drug traffic, one assist and one special detail. They issued 20 citations including three expired tags, one no insurance, three driving with suspended tag, 10 speeding, one leaving the scene of an accident with injury or damage, one DUI alcohol and one criminal trespass.
