Between Monday, Jan. 5, and Sunday, Jan. 11, the Barnesville police department made two arrests: Chasity Zachery, 29, 918 Ray St., Griffin, aggravated battery; Akia Whatley, 18, 154 Bradley Cir., Barnesville, disorderly violent or tumultuous person. Officers answered 130 calls for service including two fights, one death, three security checks, three thefts, two open doors, one burglary, seven domestics, one subject with firearm, 20 foot patrols, five suspicious persons or vehicles, three speeding, seven accidents, one intoxicated driver, one intoxicated pedestrian, 13 escorts, 16 alarms, one drug traffic, two damage to property and two 911 hangups. They issued 20 citations including one expired tag, one failure to maintain insurance, one driving with a suspended tag, eight speeding, one following too closely, two failure to yield at intersection, three failure to stop or yield, one failure to yield at sign, one disorderly violent or tumultuous person and one littering.
