Between Monday, Jan. 26, and Monday, Feb. 2, the Barnesville police department made one arrest: Harvey Cook, 19, 619 W. Solomon St., Griffin, statutory rape and child molestation. Officers answered 152 calls for service including nine fights, four animal complaints, 17 security checks, one theft, two loud music, one burglary, 11 domestics, 14 foot patrols, 12 suspicious persons or vehicles, one suicide attempt, one motorist assist, one speeding, four accidents, two ambulance assists, one intoxicated driver, 14 escorts, three civil matters, eight alarms, one damage to property, one school crossing duty and two special details. They issued eight citations for one expired tag, one improper turn, one driving with a suspended tag, three speeding, one following too closely and one open container.
