Police Report

Between Monday, November 23 and Monday, November 30 the Barnesville Police Department arrested: Virgus Walker, 22, 201 Henry Higgins Road, Jackson, driving while license suspended and failure to stop at stop sign; Alvin Walker, 24, 601 Floyd Road, Forsyth, possession of marijuana; Bruce Davis, 53, 104 Lyons Street, Barnesville, disorderly conduct and open container. There were 242 calls for service including: four fights, 62 security checks, two thefts, one shoplifting, three loud music, four prowlers, four welfare checks, one threat, one burglary, 11 domestics, 16 meet in person, 37 foot patrols, 16 suspicious persons/vehicles, 22 stopping person or vehicle, one suicide or attempt, 14 accidents, two hit and runs, eight escorts, two bond approvals, one civil matter, 20 alarms, three fires, three damage to property, one harassing phone calls, one special detail and one 911 hang up. They issued 23 citations including: one possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, one expired tag, one driving on suspended license, one no license on person, eight speeding, one leaving the scene of an accident with injury/damage, one striking a fixed object, one failure to stop at stop sign, two tag light violations, two safety belt violations, one open container, two disorderly and one obstruction.
