Police Report

Between Monday, March 28 and Monday, April 4 the Barnesville Police Department made the following arrests: Carlton Piper, 17, 280 Norris Road, Barnesville, theft by receiving stolen property. There were 197 calls for service including: three animal complaints, 36 security checks, one loud music, three damaged mailboxes, one threat, two burglaries, nine domestics, 35 meet in person, 13 foot patrols, 19 suspicious persons/vehicles, 28 stopping persons/vehicles, two suicide attempts, four accidents, one ambulance needed, nine escorts, one bond approval, six alarms, one fire and six damage to property. They issued 17 citations including: one driving with suspended tag, one too fast for conditions, four speeding, one impeding the flow of traffic, one improper stopping/parking on roadway, two failure to maintain lane, one failure to yield while turning left, four failure to stop at stop sign and two safety belt violations.
