Police report

Between Friday, September 2 and Monday, September 12 the Barnesville Police Department made the following arrests: Joseph McCard, 32, 506 Gordon Road, Barnesville, driving while license suspended or revoked and DUI; Charles Williams, 33, 150 Pecan Drive, Griffin, obstructing law enforcement officers, interference with 911 call, public drunkeness, battery and cruelty to children; John-Connor Montgomery, 17, 116 Houston Street, Apt. 2, Barnesville, possession of alcohol by underage person, disorderly and two counts obstruction. There were 300 calls for service including: six fights, five animal complaints, three juveniles, 70 security checks, three thefts, four loud music, one criminal trespass, two welfare checks, one burglary, 23 domestics, 38 meet in person, one subject with firearm, 13 foot patrols, 42 suspicious persons/vehicles, 33 stopping persons/vehicles, 33 stopping persons/vehicles, 16 accidents, one intoxicated driver, 19 escorts, one bond approval, one civil matter, 10 alarms, one missing person and three fires. They issued 37 citations including: one possession of alcohol by underage person, one driving while license suspended or revoked, two driving without a license, one operating with learner’s permit, one no proof of insurance, one driving with suspended tag, 14 speeding, one striking a fixed object, one reckless driving, one DUI refusal, one following too closely, seven failure to stop at stop sign, one disorderly, two obstruction and two no thru trucks.
