Police report

Between Monday, January 9 and Monday, January 16 the Barnesville Police Department made the following arrests: Donta Reeves, 51, 673 England Chapel Road #9, Barnesville, impeding the free flow of traffic, DUI and open container; Timothy Jackson, 52, 260 Main Street, Apt. A3, Forest Park, giving false name to officer and obstruction; Kenneth King, 52, 158 Lanette Circle, Barnesville, shoplifting. There were 185 calls for service including: four fights, for animal complaints, 54 security checks, one theft, one shoplifting, one prowler, nine domestics, 20 meet in person, nine foot patrols, 17 suspicious persons/vehicles, nine speeding, one accident, two intoxicated pedestrians, 11 escorts, one bond approval, 10 alarms, five damage to property and one harassing phone calls. They issued 43 citations including: one driving while license suspended or revoked, one move over law, 17 speeding, one impeding the free flow of traffic, two driver not executing due care, one open container, one DUI, five failure to stop, three headlight violations, one failure to dim headlights, three seat belt violations, one theft by shoplifting, one giving false name to officer and two obstructions. Note: The speed cart monitor will be located on Akins Street from January 16 through January 22.
