Police report

Between Tuesday, January 17 and Monday January, 23 the Barnesville Police Department made the following arrests: James Bowles, 53, 316 Forsyth Street, Apt. 7, Barnesville, disorderly. There were 125 calls for service including: three animal complaints, 33 security checks, one missing person, one welfare check, seven domestics, 12 meet in person, nine foot patrols, 16 suspicious persons/vehicles, 17 stopping persons/vehicles, four speeding, four accidents, one ambulance needed, eight escorts, one civil matter, two alarms, one damage to property, one harassing phone call and four special detail. They issued 36 citations including: one driving without a tag, one improper transfer of license plate/decal, three expired tags, one no insurance, one move over law, eight speeding, one failure to maintain lane, nine failure to stop at stop/yield sign, two headlight violations, five seat belt violations, one disorderly, one littering and two no thru trucks. Attention: The speed cart monitor will be located on Atlanta Street from Jan. 23-30.
