Between Monday, November 27 and Monday, December 4 the Barnesville Police Department made the following arrests: Damien Carter, 33, 1751 Park Place, Griffin, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and warrant for sale of controlled substances; Brandon Lawrence, 25, 122 Westchester Drive, Barnesville, violation of conditions of permit and seatbelt violation. They had 250 calls for service including: one fight, 129 security checks, one shoplifting, one prowler, two welfare checks, two burglaries, nine domestics, six foot patrols, 11 suspicious persons/vehicles, three speeding, 10 accidents, four escorts, one civil matter, 12 alarms, two fires, one damage to property, one unwanted person and one lost/mislaid property. They issued 38 citations including: one possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, one expired tag, one no license on person, one violation of conditions of permit, one no insurance, one no proof of insurance, eight speeding, one failure to obey traffic control device, one parking in a fire lane, one driver to exercise due care, one leaving the scene of an accident, one striking a fixed object, one DUI, one driving on the wrong side of the road, three failure to maintain lane, two failure to stop, one tag light violation, one obstructed view, eight seatbelt violations and two no thru trucks.
