Police report

Between Saturday, January 6 and Monday, January 15 the Barnesville Police Department made the following arrests: Sammie Furlow Jr., 30, 397 Atlanta Street, Barnesville, discharge of firearms on property of another, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by convicted felon and possession of marijuana; Quintin Willis, 28, 701 Terrace Trail, McDonough, no proof of insurance and reckless driving; Keelan Norman, 20, 613 Larch Looper Drive, Griffin, resisting arrest, obstruction, giving false name and disorderly conduct. There were 425 calls for service including: three fights, 210 security checks, 10 thefts, one loud music, four entering an auto, four burglaries, 24 domestics, one armed robbery, two subjects with firearms, 21 foot patrols, 27 suspicious persons/vehicles, one suicide/attempt, two speeding autos, six accidents, two intoxicated pedestrians, seven escorts, two civil matters, 15 alarms and one damage to property. They issued 42 citations including: two expired tags, one new resident has 30 days to obtain tag violation, one 30 days to obtain Georgia license violation, one no proof of insurance, one too fast for conditions, nine speeding, one running red light, one reckless driving, one failure to maintain lane, three failure to yield, two headlight violations, three taillight violations, one tag light violation, one brake light violations, one multi-beam light violation, three seat belt violations, one open container, one giving false name to officer, two disorderly’s, two resisting arrest and two obstruction.
