Police report

Between Monday, February 26 and Monday, March 5 the Barnesville Police Department made the following arrests:Michael Brown, 29, 353 Sanders Road, Griffin, failure to appear bench warrant and driving while license suspended or revoked;Michael Smith, 18, 241 Mount Pleasant, Flovilla, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and tag light violation;Angela Smith, 46, 25 S. Eli Drive, Carrollton, driving on suspended license and following too closely.There were 222 calls for service including: one fight, 98 security checks, one abandoned vehicle, one theft, one prowler, 14 domestics, one subject with firearm, eight foot patrols, eight suspicious persons/vehicles, five accidents, one hit and run, 14 escorts, two bond approvals, two civil matters, 11 alarms, two fires, two mental subjects and one wanted/stolen.They issued 14 citations including: one expired tag, nine speeding, one shoplifting, one disorderly and one obstruction.
