Between Monday, March 26 and Monday, April 2 the Barnesville Police Department made the following arrests:Rodney Johnson, 54, 1305 Spellman Avenue, Griffin, violation of conditions of permit and failure to maintain lane;Tony Abernathy, 50, 272 Aldora Street, Barnesville, possession of methamphetamine and shoplifting;Shemier Walker, 28, 110 Bonaventure Drive, LaGrange, open container, obstruction and giving false name to officer;Joseph Hall, 35, 208 Taylor Street, Barnesville, disorderly.There were 128 calls for service including: one fight, 49 security checks, one welfare check, four burglaries, six domestics, five foot patrols, 15 suspicious persons/vehicles, four accidents, one ambulance needed, one intoxicated driver, one hit and run, two escorts, one civil matter, one alarm, one mechanical break down, three damage to property, one harassing phone call and two improperly parked vehicles.They issued 20 citations including: one violation of conditions of permit, one improper turn, seven speeding, one striking a fixed object, two failure to maintain lane, three seat belt violations, one open container, one theft by shoplifting, one giving false name to officer, one disorderly and one obstruction.
