Police report

Between Tuesday, October 16 and Monday, October 22 the Barnesville Police Department made the following arrests: Kenisha Asberry, 28, 7712 Autry Cir., Apt. 513, Douglasville, driving without a license, no insurance and improper backing; Sammy Lowery, 49, 1501 Vineyard Rd., Griffin, warrant from another agency and giving false name to officer; Brian Wyke, 28, 8 Jenkins St., Barnesville, no tag, driving without a license and failure to maintain insurance; Kenneth Cornell, 17, 414 Jones Rd., Milner, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, no brake lights or working signals and tag light violation; Justin Efird, 17, 326 Piedmont Rd., Barnesville, possession of less an an ounce of marijuana; Phillip Spivey, 56, 371 Brent Rd., Barnesville, driving on suspended license, failure to obey traffic control device and two counts DUI. There was 165 calls for service including: six fights, 47 security checks, one prowler, two welfare checks, 11 domestics, 11 suspicious persons/vehicles, one speeding, six accidents, four escorts, five alarms, one fire and one harassing phone call. They issued 65 citations including: five expired tags, two driving on suspended license, two driving without a license, one 30 days to obtain a Georgia license; four no license on person, one no insurance, two failure to maintain insurance, one no proof of insurance, two improper turns, one driving with suspended tag, one move over law, 11 speeding, two failure to obey traffic control device, one improper backing, two DUI’s, three following too closely, eight failure to stop, one headlight violation, two tag light violations, two no brake lights or working turn signals, one driving unsafe vehicle, two seatbelt violations, one simple battery, one giving false name to officer and one obstruction.
