Between Tuesday, November 27 and Monday, December 10 the Barnesville Police Department made the following arrests:Madelyn Piper, 22, 302 Yatesville Rd., Barnesville, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana;John Holmes, 53, 46 Jackson St., Barnesville, affray and aggravated assault;Dustin Lyons, 28, 123 Ridgeway Rd., Milner, battery;Emory Kelley, 18, 846 Wallace Rd., Griffin, criminal trespass.There were 430 calls for service including: two fights, one animal complaint, 163 security checks, one theft, one shoplifting, one loud music, two welfare checks, one burglary, 12 domestics, six foot patrols, 35 suspicious persons/vehicles, four suicide/attempts, 10 speeding, 17 accidents, five intoxicated pedestrians, three hit and runs, three escorts, 12 alarms, one damage to property, four harassing phone calls, one 911 hangup, one unwanted person and one lost/mislaid property.They issued 51 citations including: three possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, one tag violation, two expired tags, two driving without a license, one operating with a learner’s permit, three no license on person, one driving while license suspended, one failure to maintain insurance, one move over law, 19 speeding, one failure to obey traffic control device, one handsfree law, one reckless driving, one following too closely, six failure to stop, one headlight violation, one tag light violation, one failure to dim headlights, one seatbelt violation and one shoplifting.
