Police report

Between Monday, June 22 and Monday, June 29 the Barnesville Police Department made the following arrests:Shakendra Brown, 30, 919 Willow Wind Cir., Barnesville, theft by receiving stolen property;Cedrick Penn, 41, 756 Brook Rd., Griffin, battery and abuse/neglect of elderly/disabled;Jamorris Cole, 33, 304 Parker Branch Rd., Barnesville, simple battery and disorderly;Joseph LaCount, 56, 878 Veterans Pkwy., Barnesville, probation violation out of Pike County;Ricky Talmadge, 19, 958 Willow Wind Cir., Barnesville, probation violation.They answered 196 calls for service including: two fights, one fireworks, 73 security checks, one theft, two loud music, two prowlers, one welfare check, 19 domestics, one subject with firearm, 12 foot patrols, 21 suspicious persons/vehicles, three suicide/attempts, three speeding, five accidents, one intoxicated person, one hit and run, 10 escorts, four alarms and one harassing phone call.They issued 11 citations including: three speeding, one running red light, one leaving the scene of an accident, one striking a fixed object, one failure to maintain lane, one failure to stop, one simple battery, one disorderly and one theft by receiving stolen property.
