Between Monday, August 2 and Monday, August 9 the Barnesville Police Department made the following arrests:Alexander Barnett, 30, 213 Hermer Cir., NW, Atlanta, possession of firearms during a crime, possession of firearms by convicted felon, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of drug related objects, possession or manufacturing of controlled substance, possession and use of drug related objects, drugs not in original container, open container, tail light violation and tag light violation;Tony Brown, 49, 315 Brinkley Rd., Barnesville, driving while license suspended or revoked, failure to maintain insurance and driving without a tag.There were 256 calls for service including: 11 animal complaints, 65 security checks, four thefts, one burglary, five domestics, one fraud, one subject with firearm, 21 suspicious persons/vehicles, two speeding, five accidents, five intoxicated pedestrians, 14 alarms, six damage to property, four harassing phone calls, three 911 hang ups and seven mental subjects.They issued 12 citations including: one driving without a tag, one driving while license suspended or revoked, one failure to maintain insurance, four speeding, two no tail lights, one no operating brake lights, one seat belt violation and one disorderly.
