Police Report

Between Saturday, April 2, and Friday, April 8, the Barnesville police department made seven arrests:Marquis Barnes, 20 Stoney Point Terrace, Covington, driving while license suspended;Kizzy Booker, 1115 Lamont St., Macon, driving while license suspended;Melissa Elam, 175 Crowders St., Barnesville, disorderly conduct;Marcus Haynes, 119B Kate Court, Barnesville, warrant from Marietta;Michael Ledford, 118 Lee Maddox Rd., Jackson, driving while license suspended and failure to maintain lane;John Leary, 46 Jones St., Forsyth, driving while license suspended;Marion White, 841 Milner Rd., Milner, DUI and failure to maintain lane.Officers answered 74 calls for service including seven accidents, two alarms, one arson, 13 building security checks, three burglaries, two damage to property, six disturbances, one domestic, 22 escorts, one fraud, two harassment, three miscellaneous, one parking violation, one prowler, two shots fired, three suspicious persons/vehicles and five thefts. They issued 32 citations including one disorderly conduct, four driving while license suspended, one DUI, one expired tag, two failure to maintain lane, one failure to obey traffic control, three failure to stop at stop sign, two following too closely, one leaving the scene of an accident, two loud music, two no insurance, eight parking violations and six speeding.
