Police Report

Between Friday, June 3, and Friday, June 10, the Barnesville police department made seven arrests: Tina Smith, 52, 201 Olivia Lane, Barnesville, making a false report of a crime; Chasity Walker, 19, 112 Adams St., Thomaston, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana; Adarious Lyons, 28, 114 Oak Rd., Barnesville, open container; Xavier Lyons, 17, 1102 High Falls Rd., Griffin, resisting arrest and other charges; Raymond Thrash Jr., 18, 327 N. 5th St., Griffin, resisting arrest and other charges; Dale Brown, 50, 225 Washington St., Barnesville, simple battery; Martha Raney, 48, 225 Washington St., Barnesville, simple battery. Officers answered 72 calls for service including two fights, two animal complaints, one theft, one shoplifting, two loud music, one criminal damage to property, one criminal trespass, two harassing phone calls, one welfare check, 12 domestics, 29 foot patrol, six suspicious persons/vehicles, six speeding, three accidents, one damage to property and one 911 hangup. They issued 21 citations including one expired tag, six speeding, one running red light, one failure to maintain lane, two failure to stop at stop sign, one child safety seat violation, two open containers, two simple battery, one false report of a crime, two disorderly conduct, one criminal trespass and one no through trucks.
