Police Report

Between Saturday, July 24, and Monday, Aug. 1, the Barnesville police department made one arrest: Carlos Carter, 39, 130 12th St., Barnesville, DUI, driving while license suspended, giving false name to law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, failure to maintain lane and headlight violation. Officers answered 77 calls for service including three fights, three animal complaints, two thefts, one criminal trespass, one welfare check, four domestics, 35 foot patrols, two suspicious persons/vehicles, five accidents, 11 escorts, six alarms, one damage to property, one damage to property, one harassing phone calls and one 911 hangup. They issued 15 citations including one driving with a suspended license, one no license on person, two speeding, one DUI, one failure to maintain lane, one failure to yield, one headlight violation, one window tint violation, two seat belt violations, two giving false name to officer and one resisting arrest.
