Between Friday, Sept. 2, and Friday, Sept. 9, the Barnesville police department made four arrests:Jack Ash, 51, 208 Wilson St., Barnesville, open container and disorderly conduct;David Littiken, 32, 113 Big Oak Dr., Barnesville, driving while license suspended or revoked, speeding and giving false name;Penny Whatley, 49, 457 Forsyth St., Apt. A, Barnesville, firearms violation;Thomas Brooks, 39, 116 12th St., Barnesville, disorderly conduct.Officers answered 77 calls for service including two fights, two thefts, one loud music, one criminal trespass, three burglaries, six domestics, 11 foot patrols, seven suspicious persons/vehicles, nine speeding, 10 accidents, one intoxicated pedestrian, five escorts, 16 alarms, two damage to property and one gas drive off. They issued 26 citations including one driving while license suspended or revoked, one no license, one violation of license restrictions, 10 speeding, two open container, one DUI under age, two failure to maintain lane, one following too closely, one failure to yield, one failure to stop, one no tail lights, one possession of alcohol under age, one giving false name, one disorderly conduct and one discharging a firearm within the city limits.
