Police Report

Between Friday, Sept. 9, and Friday, Sept. 16, the Barnesville police department made two arrests:Michael Hamilton, 18, 219 Silver Fox Dr., St. Mary’s, simple battery;Ricky Dawson, 24, 2450 Yatesville Rd., Barnesville, DUI drugs less safe.Officers answered 84 calls for service including two animal complaints, three thefts, five loud music, three burglaries, five domestics, 26 foot patrols, eight suspicious persons/vehicles, four speeding, seven accidents, one DUI, one hit and run, nine escorts, five alarms, one drug trafficking, two damage to property, one improper parking, and one lost or mislaid property. They issued 18 citations including one interference with a 911 call, one no license on person, one violation of license restrictions, two noise violations, four speeding, one running red light, two DUI, one failure to maintain lane, two failure to yield, one failure to stop, one possession of alcohol under age and one simple battery.
