Between Friday, Sept. 30, and Friday, Oct. 7, the Barnesville police department made eight arrests:Terence Bell, 18, 2954 Gena Rd., Decatur, giving false name to law enforcement and possession of alcohol under age;Waltavious Collier, 21, 315 Atlanta St., Barnesville, probation violation; Cayle Long, 17, 499 Abbott Rd., Barnesville, possession of alcohol under age;Richard Peacock, 20, 208 Brinkley Rd., Barnesville, possession of alcohol under age;Karla Thompson, 39, 117 Hwy. 341, Barnesville, probation violation;Abbey Walker, 17, 131 Forest Lane, Barnesville, possession of alcohol under age;Eugene Worthy, 21, 245 Atlanta St., Barnesville, Lamar County warrant;Norris Zellner, 55, 506 Woodland Dr., Barnesville, shoplifting and obstruction of an officer.Officers answered 41 calls for service including two EMS assists, two animal complaints, two loud music, two burglaries, nine foot patrols, three suspicious persons/vehicles, three speeding, four accidents, one hit and run, seven escorts, one alarm, one fire and four damage to property. They issued 13 citations including two nuisance dogs, two speeding, one failure to stop at stop or yield sign, two seat belt violations, four possession of alcohol under age, one giving false name to officer and one disorderly conduct.
