Police Report

Between Saturday, Aug. 18, and Friday, Aug. 24, the Barnesville police department made three arrests: Fred Harris, 59, 201 Richardson St., Barnesville, disorderly conduct; Howard Johnson, 28, 141 Lansdowne Dr., Griffin, speeding and driving while license suspended; James Brown, 80, 127 Adams Court, Barnesville, disorderly conduct. Officers answered 91 calls for service including two fights, one abandoned vehicle, one criminal trespass, one welfare check, two burglaries, six domestics, one person with firearm, 28 foot patrols, eight suspicious persons/vehicles, one speeding, three accidents, 14 escorts, five alarms, two damage to property, one harassing phone calls and two wanted/stolen. They issued 11 citations including one driving while license suspended or revoked, one expired license, one improper turn, three speeding, one failure to stop, one golf cart amber light violation and three disorderly conduct.
