Pork Chops Over Cabbage

Looking for an easy recipe and want to save money this week? Giant Mart has pork chops for $1.49 a pound and a 3 lb. bag of onions for $1.50 this week. Serve with cabbage or slaw. Cabbage is 25-cents a pound this week. Squash or zucchini is 3 lbs. for $2. Suggested Dessert: Edward’s Lemon Meringue pie for $4.99. Potato and Pork Chop Bake 3-4 baking potatoes, peeled and sliced thin 1 large onion, thinly sliced salt and pepper several pork chops 1/2 cup milk (enough to cover bottom of baking dish) Grease 13×9 casserole dish. Layer beginning with potatoes first, onions next, salt and pepper lightly. Make as many layers as you wish. Sprinkle a little flour, about 1 tsp. before pork. Top with pork and then cover bottom of dish with milk. Last, season with salt and pepper. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour. Recipe from United Bank Cookbook.
